St Neots is a flourishing, friendly hockey club which is based at Longsands Road St Neots, and has a variety of players aged from 5 to 75.
We currently run four men’s and four women’s teams drawing on players from the town and surrounding area, with both young talent and experienced senior players.
Our successful junior academy runs on Sundays, and we have an enthusiastic group of volunteer coaches which help the 100 plus players develop their hockey skills, providing future adult players for the club.
Senior training takes place during the season on Tuesday (Women) and Thursday (Men) evenings and we welcome all new players either to these sessions or our successful Back to Hockey fun session on Sunday mornings.
We are run by our committee of volunteers and are dedicated to raising the profile of the sport in the local community. The club was one of the initial members of the St Neots Sports Collective, which comes under the umbrella of the St Neots Initiative. This is a “coming together” of all the sports clubs/associations with the view to coming up with an overall 5 year plan for the club and sport in St Neots as a whole and it is this area that the club is hoping to develop over the next year. We hope to be able to be part of this joined up strategy in the future.
The club was 125 years old in 2023 and we had a big Anniversary Ball to celebrate. The success of this has reinforced the great club spirit that exists at St Neots and together with the exciting future developments the club should go from strength to strength in the coming years.
We will do our best to get back to you as soon as possible.
