St Neots Women’s 1s finished their 2024/25 campaign off with an excellent 3-1 win over Saffron Walden 1s.
Mary Richardson opened the scoring for Saints in the first half, but they were quickly pegged back by the visitors to take it level at the break.
Midway through the second half Marie Quintilla regained the lead for Saints as they took control of the match.
With two minutes to go, Kira Herbert netted to confirm all three points.
The Women’s 2s finished the season with a hard fought 0-0 draw against top of the table Bourne Deeping 1s.
The 3s lost to a last minute winner as they were beaten 3-2 away to league leaders Cambridge City 7, but still have a game to go and the chance to finish second.
The Men’s 1s were narrowly beaten 3-2 for the second time this season to Cambridge Nomads 1s.
Saints took the lead through top scorer Phil McMorris as they started the better of the two sides.
Nomads began to gain a foothold in the game and found an equaliser just before the break.
A counter attack goal and one more from a short corner helped the visitors take control of the match.
Saints tried to find a comeback and it looked to be on as Owen Edwards deflected in a shot to make it 3-2.
A couple of short corners at the end of the game gave Saints the chance but they couldn’t grab an equaliser resulting in a last game defeat.
The Men’s 2s finished their season with a 2-2 draw away to Cambridge City 6s.
Chris Butterworth and Andrew Pope were on target for Saints.
The Men’s 3s concluded their championship season with a 3-0 win against Bourne Deeping 4s, thanks to a brace from David Martin and one from Gary Leyshon.
The Men’s 4s were beaten 6-0 to Cambridge South 6s.
